do you think that due to this release they discovered all
the new horizons they were about to open later?

I mean due to all the non repeptitive beats and all that

one of which i like a fair amount (flutter)...the others are
neat, but just dont do it for me.

thats the thing, when I read that the idea was to do beats
that repeat I expected something that didn't sound so
repeatative, but it did sound a bit repeatative to me.
although I still liked it alot I'm not bashing the loop
concept.

oopsss.... I didn't mean to send both of those. and also I
need to fix this error "when I read that the idea was to do
beats that DIDN'T repeat" thats what I meant. whatever you
don't care.

it's a wicked EP. For me it holds a special place in my
musical history like Ventolin or AB3. It just went places
other records hadn't been, AND did it with musicallity and
style.

I can remember that loads of people were talking about
repetative beats and the Crimminal Justice Bill and Ae just
went and did it, not talk about it like so many fakers.

it seems intreging, but since 2 of the 3 tracks are on the
blech2 cd, is it worth buying if you already have that cd?

and which track is missing?

blechsdotir the 2nd blech release starts off with Lost and
also contains Flutter, both nice tracks but i wont want to
hear them played for 7 minutes like on the single

Anti is pretty damn OK I'd say.

Lost gets me in a sort of hypnosis everytime.

yeah, I don't think it's that great either... I basically
only bought it cause I saw it in the store, I figured it
might be hard to get, and I'm a weirdo and need to get
everything by groups I like... :)

what a fine release.

Musically it was good but the statement it made at the time
was superb, while the prodigy chose the Pop Will Eat Itself
"Their Law" collabo to show their dislike, ae made a track
which as stated on the EP was perfectly legal to play under
the new law. God bless ae.

However I still don't understand this none repetative beats
thing with autechre...most of their music is looped based
and very repetative although they do it in a way that the
tune doesn't get boring.

Well, I'd say early and midway through their catalogue alot
of it was loop based, say.. Cichlisuite and before, with
traces of it afterwards. However it seems to me like
Confield and Draft 7.30 especially are anything but loop
based. I don't know.. it prolly just depends on how we
define 'loop-based' and what that includes. So I'll stop
preaching :).
Anyway, I got Anti pretty late in my collection and it's
pretty primitive but I do agree that I think the conscious
effort to avoid repetetive beats was the conceptual
jump-start that led them to where they are now.

It's so funny. "Autechre is soo boring except for Untilted
and Anti EP". I mean, is it the only releases listened to or
what is happening?

he just posts without even knowing what he is talking about.
actually he doesnt even speak english, he just copy/pastes
other people´s words

thats why he absolutely makes no sense, and shows incoherent
all the time

a pretty good EP but not outstanding. the whole idea behind
