for me weens quebec blew me away - it was addictive, like a
audio drug for ages . bileous paths kept up mike p's high
standard of music and i'm hoping the christ cd (in post)
will be awesome, from the mp3's i've heard its a big yes

the pod. can't forget about the pod. their pizza hut
commercial was good too. yep.

I have not listened to much Electronica this year, what
really liked where all the Y4K compilations on Distincitive
records.

Sloan- Action Pact was a nice return to form, not that they
ever lost it. Pleasant surprise.

Two other releases this year that took me by surprise
because I found them by fluke are Lexaunculpt- Blurring of
Trees and the Pernice Brothers- Yours, Mine and Ours.

"The Argus" is probably my favorite song on "quebec." But
it really depends on the kind of song you want to play.
"It's Gonna be a Long Night" is like Motorhead metal-rock,
"Zoloft" is like Caribbean keyboard music, "So Many People
In The Neighborhood" is like demented children's music,
shit. The whole album's awesome.

An album that surprised me a lot is Dysrhythmia's "Pretest."
I know I've mentioned them a bunch before, but they're just
so amazing, they deserve to be mentioned more. I hadn't
even heard of them last year and this record is now in my
top 5 of the year. Along with Ween.

surprisingly disappointing is a perfect circle's thirteenth
step. a few good tracks but overall pretty mediocre, poor
compared to mer de noms.
