man, WHAT ARE THOSE ALIENS DOING IN THAT FILM? it could be a
so so masterpiece but those aliens, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.

i have to agree... that story did not need aliens, it was
doing so well until that point. it could've been much more
interesting; aliens are a pretty cheap way to resolve a
story.

i'm curious to see this movie again because in the theater i
enjoyed the first 1/2 and the last few minutes a lot but
after seeing it i found out that almost everyone else hated
it.

i thought the movie had it all.

i loved all the different plots going on, i just thought it
was really interesting.

jason lee is fuggin hilarious as usual, and the guy that
plays jonesy does an awesome job, especially when hes Mr.
Grey.

I guess it just kinda reminded me of a B horror film, and
didnt take itself to seriously.

Oh, and btw

the coolest part in the whole movie is when morgan freeman
and company are on an arial attack mission to destroy the
aliens ship.

they approach the ship and all the aliens on the ground are
waving and in 'humanoid' form. The aliens use their
telepathy to put messages in the air fighters' heads like
Help! We're dying! Don't kill us!!

And then Morgan and Co. open fire and the aliens quickly
transform to their reptillian/wormish forms.

Way cool ya'll, way way cool.

my roomate and I rented the DVD, didn't watch the extras
though.

I seriously felt just like you did when I saw it in
theaters. I actually wasn't looking forward to seeing it
again, but a lot of shit made a lot more sense. Not in a
Donnie Darko sort of way, but the story got a lot more
enjoyable, and the aliens didn't ruin it this time.

"the book is from stephen king , sio it cant be wank. fact"

What a retarded thing to say. If you've read all of King's
works - as I have - you'd know that he has at least 10 books
which are complete shit.

I've only read the book. Pretty good, but not up to his
usual standard. His other recent book, "from a buick 8" is a
lot better. I tend to agree with Titsworth, it didn't really
need aliens. The Byrus was a good idea, if it had just been
that in the woods it would have been enough. There was no
need to explain how it got there.

It was ok for the first 200 pages, but then disappeared up
it's own arse. The climactic chase sequence is one of the
worst things King has put his name to. Imo.

I'd like to read the book, but there are other Stephen King
books I'd read first...

Jarworski: Please tell me the 10 books you'd call shit...
I'd really be interested in seeing the list... as well, list
your 10 favorites if you can... that's if he has that
many... well, see what you can do! :)

Yeah the chase was OTT. It went on for far too long.
