Any food with more than 3 syllables is probably gross. Good for you, but gross, so count me out.

I haven't had asparagus in years. My mom made me eat it on a few occasions when I was little and I hated it. Haven't had it since.

my dad calls it the "cadilac of vegitables"
it's not the taste as much as the smell that i can't stand. smells like compost.

you guys are all full of shit.
asparagus rules you all.
and the reason it's so expensive (aside from it's delicious taste) is because it's an aphrodesiac.

Well, have fun having bad sex for the rest of your life. And also have fun not having a good taste in your mouth that people like.
Have fun not having your pee smell like asparagus. Have fun not piping in with answers the next time someone starts an asparagus thread.. have fun dude.
I hope you're happy with the life you've chosen.

Asparagus, as with many vegetables, is a lot better when it is mixed in with some sort of sauce, casserole, soup, etc. I am not usually all about this idea of the boiled side vegetable, where it is just this vegetable by itself with some very basic seasoning. The small dollup of butter, salt and pepper one might add rarely cuts it (except maybe for corn), and adding too many spices will just make it taste stupid.
If one should need to have a side dish of veggies, for instance if you need to accompany a meat entree, I highly recommend the stir fry approach using a medley rather than just one. There are many interesting sauces available to make these veggies come alive. Otherwise I enjoy the casserole approach and..SLIPAZOID U FLA FLA WASHINGTON D.X YOU CANNOT ESCAPE

Asparagus is nasty. Ugh. I've found that despite my mother's insistence that I will eventually develop a taste for cooked green vegetabales, it still hasn't happened. I'm not a big fan of broccoli, green beans, or peas either.

NO !
asparagus makes girls taste quite bad and i believe there was some sort of scientific study behind that. Girls tend to taste better after eating certain fruits.
Which i believe were kiwi, strawberrys and a couple of others..... oh yeah pineapple.
