i feel drained lately...

i don't know why. i don't have any inspiration at all for
music, and whenever i try to write something it comes out
terrible.

i guess it may be the losing streak i've had lately - with
crazy fungus records closing and my works going out of
print, to unanswered demos and not winning remix contests /
landing on comps, etc.

i just feel drained - like i don't feel anything lately.

that and the fact that dallaslocalmusicscene never put up
those reviews drains me too.

Life occurs in cycles...won't be long and things will be on
the up again.

ou just need a good ass-kissing. I love your music and your
avatar, and remember, I love your username. I love your
Ninja Gaiden remix and I wish you'd do some more NES related
music.

I guess Seasonal Affective Disorder is in full swing,
everybody's feeling down and out lately here!

you seem to produce music by the hour - I could never work
as fast as you do.

could be that you need to take some time off from
musicmaking, nothing wrong with that.

Your luck will change. But you just have to let it.
Dwelling on bad luck only keeps it coming. The worst thing
you can do is sit in front of your machines trying to force
inspiration. You should go for a walk by yourself, smoke a
few cigarettes and soak up the Magical Autumn vibe. Always
works for me. :)

ehhh, this might sound kinda bad, but it works, if you
haven't had a drink in a long time try drinking alot, it
kills off all the old brain cells or some shit and you might
wake up feeling on the ball and more um, more perceptive and
quick, they did a study on this, how professors don't have
the edge they did when they were undergrads and drank on the
weekends, just a thought

why thank you ophecks - i have been wanting to work on some
more video game music - actually, i'm working on an album
that is nothing BUT video game-oriented music, a new concept
album that tells a story. send me a mailing address if you'd
like to hear.

qrter - yes maybe you're right. perhaps i should just let
the creative gears cool for a while.

KADO - been doing this and it's helping me relax. good point
about trying to force inspiration though - never works for
me anyways.

AlfredPMcLovely - i drink fairly heavily on Friday nights,
so i've killed plenty of braincells. however i try not to
drink too much, and i really don't like drinking a lot.

i know what you're talkin' about big guy. it happens after
every track i make. sometimes two, if i'm lucky. but yeah.
i'm thinking if i had some illegal substances i'd be having
more fun. music or no.

i'm beginning to feel even more drained. four hours a dance
party with me and me and nobody and me, a lot of nonsense
rambling and a crazy phone conversation with my mother later
i'm wearing thin like an old t-shirt. i mean...sure i'm
still cozy comfortable and damn good lookin'. but jsut a
little blah. i've even seen scores of vegetables with more
life (hee hah hoo huh? nothing).

think of it liek this:
record deals, reviews, albums:
none of these things matter
none of these things effect the music you make
music is music
music is not a record deal

I'm NOT having a shot at you, that's just the way i think
about music and if these things are getting you down, it
might be like...some kind of food for thought, i dunno.
sorry i if offended you.

:D

BUT these things pass, man, just go and od other stuff if
you're having trouble with tracks, ifyou feel stale just do
new things
this applies to everything i can think of
