people.

First Aphex Twin-album i ever bought. And i was
amazed by it! I remember listening to nothing else
but that cd for the first couple of weeks.

And now it's been months since i listened to it for the last
time :-/
I think almost all his other stuff is better than this
album. So i'm glad i got this one first, otherwise i
probably wouldn't have enjoyed it at all :-p

xtal and heliosphan are still in my
top-10-best-aphextwin-tracks-ever list though! I love those
songs!

Infact, i think i'll go listen to the album right now.

the week
Tha and Heliosphan are my faves

jaw dropping to me...

I listen to it now and then... its got some nice tracks on
there... but I much perfer all his later stuff

obviously it's not the skull fuck that his later releases
are... but it's a whole other side of his artistic
personality that is just as beautiful

Technically, very impressive. Influential as fuck.
Beautiful, especially at the start. But the second half
bores the fuck out of me.

I wasn't amazed by it at all when I first heard it... thing
is, I was introduced to Aphex via ''skullyfuck'' beats and
glitch, so this was a surprise, not knowing what to expect.

Totally timeless though. I'll put this on in the car even
when I'm in my midlife crisis, and still enjoy it. It gives
me a clean, pure taste in my mouth when I listen to it, if
that makes sense.

as I promised here I am...

cant believe no one has discussed in this thread since
2003... we are all going to hell for this

and listening to xtal I see now what boc try to do with
their fuzzy foggy sounds... well aphexx did it here in a
very fresh and innocent way

(I know its only due to the bad quality of the source... but
he could have improved that it in the rereleases... but he
didnt... cos he knew it was perfect that way)

It's good and I like it very much. I remember thinking that
Green Calx was a bit too harsh for an "ambient" album when I
got it (oh shit, 11 years ago :O ), but I've come to love it
since then. It has Delphium, which is the track that got me
onto Aphex in the first place (after noting the name Aphex
from the Jesus Jones remix).

Great.

Probably the album I have played the most and will probably
remain so. Simply one of the greatest albums ever made, and
for me personally, a life changing, perception altering,
musical landmark.
