ummm, Dozier, The Beatles are from England...
but, I go with Britain... goodness, most of my cds are fro bands or artists from there... it just seems like all the best music comes out of there... even the pop music is better then the pop music over in North America...

Uk. Our hip hop isn't as good, but all other genres I like have much better examples here than the USA in my opinion.

How can you say our hip hop isn't as good? Just how much UK hip hop have you actually listened to?
Personally I listen to more British stuff than US in all genre's, even when it comes to rap I am starting to listen to more British stuff, mostly because I can relate to it more.

I like the Italian scene a lot, it seems to come and go in cycles, but there is always a lot of quality coming out of Italy.

there seems to be some confusion amongst some of you american readers...
for your information, ONCE AND FOR ALL, the United Kingdom (or Great Britain if you like) is made up of FOUR nations; Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England.
People from any of these places are correctly referred to as BRITISH (not english - england is that little bit attached to the right of wales and underneath scotland)

Correct- refering to British people as English is the same as us collectively refering to Americans as Texans.

Loads actually- I went to see dozens of acts while I was in Bristol last year. There are a few standout acts such as Fingathing, Roots Manuva, Big Dada, Cold Cut, etc. but for the most part (especially concerning rappers), the overall standard isn't as high as the USA in my opinion.
