God - it was three years ago when I made my first webpage.
I was so foolish back then. I used Angelfire (ick) and used
a basic page constructor for idiots. My page was center
aligned, with crap pictures, green untasteful text and black
background. Also some horrible gifs. Oh yeah, and no music
to download. So anyways, it sucked. I might have some of the
old site designs somewhere....

wait, that was parent's computer, nevermind.

anyways, i'm sure some of you fellow do-it-yourself webpage
builders have some thoughts to share...

discuss.

and yes, i knew NOTHING of html programming back then - but
i figured that was obvious since i used Angelfire.

I made my first webpage with Netscape Composer, and it was
utter shit, with heaps of animated gif's and other useless
crap.

It's a forgotten chapter in my history of webpages,
fortunately

photoshop.. it's very functional, just not exciting

i plan to "upgrade" to frontpage eventually

I wrote my first web page back in 1992 to distribute some
help files I made for the game Angband. The university
didn't allow ftp, but they did allow access to this spiffy
new http protocol. It was a great way to work around the
system.

The pages were written by hand, there was no other way to do
them back then.

I made my first website a LONG time ago. We had just gotten
MediaOne broadband, and they gave you webspace. So I put
this shitty thing together using Netscape Composer. Good
thing y'all can't see it, 'cause it was pretty lame.

I should make another one, but I don't want anything
half-assed. I took an HTML class but I forgot most of what
I learned. I dont have the patience to code.

I love it!
I probably have 20+ projects stored on my computer, but I
never have the guts to finish them.. Why? Because I always
come to realize that they are lame, hehe. I'd hate to have a
lame webpage..

I'm definately going to finish off two of them shortly, and
publish them.

Heh. My best friend loves HTML. He refuses to use any
graphical programs like dreamweaver. Built his entire music
site in notepad. It's pretty well designed, too.

it's a well known fact that the best webdesigners are the
hardcore handcoders who use notepad - all respect to them.
Personally, I could do that too, but dreamweaver is just so
enjoyable to work with and I wouldn't switch to another
editor even if someone payed me to

i won't link you to my first webpage, but since then, i have
taken the same skills i had back then and made a nice new
simple webpage to host my photos, and hopefully my music,
soon.

it will open in a new window

i spam this page a bit too often, i think.

i made my first page when i was probably in 7th grade.....

this is embarassing....i have long since taken it down, but
i LIED all over it! i wasn't even old enough to be able to
agree to angelfire's TOS.

really all i remember was that i had tiger pictures all
over, and the background was black with pink writing. and
somewhere on there i played a wav file of a clip from the
movie young frankenstein (frau bleucher).

to be honest, it died....
I haven't got the pace to keep up with the likes of
watmm.com and other idm communities, so I'm currently
working on a few other projects.

Sorry, I guess I should have told you.

my first website I made like 8th grade I think...

it was this psychadelic hippie looking colors and shit... I
made the background in a paint program... all neon....
orange, yellow, blue, red, greens etc... it was hard on the
eyes.

The content of the site actually was about zombies. It was a
crash course on zombies... with pictures from various movies
as examples.

I sent my dad the link at work, and someone was in his
office at the time, and he was like "oh look, my son made a
website" and opened it... to see psychadelic hippy zombie
page.

HAHAHA
