Whatever the name it's pretty much the same concept. What are your thoughts on these things? Do you frequent them often? I think in a certain circumstance they came become far overrated. There is a section of my town where it is just bars bars bars. Every college going student frequents this hip and trendy area. A big "fuck you" to those posers. :D Moving along, i like dives. Dive bars are great with a bunch of fucking friends. For reasons such as you pretty much own the place because you can usually out number everyone there and there are cheap cheap drinks. I am going to a dive tonight! :) |

I'm a college going student and when I'm drinking I myself prefer to sit on the porch while listening to Dylan and people usually just show up. I don't like bars. Too noisy, too fake if you ask me. Plus I end up having no real conversation with anyone and just flitting about from groups of people to groups of people like a moth in a roomful of lightbulbs. pathetic |

exactly! I love porch drinking! I usually put on the classic rock station and fire up the grill and usually girls and boys come by and we have drinks |

I go often enough, here like other places as well last call is at 2am, so you can drink in the bar till 3am. And you can get offsales booze which is jut like the liquor store up until like 2:45am so you can always get that case of beer to last till 7:30am, which is what i did last night. |

im 17 so its not exactly legal for me to go to bars in the us, but when i went to ecuador a couple summers back, i loved bar hopping. prolly alot of that was that it was the first time id really been free of my parents, so i was going out and having a minimum of about 8 shots of tequila per night, viva no bar, the more kick ass bar in gringolandia (a section of quito that was just all bars, gringolandia = stupid white person land) |
