Ringo is a member of the greatest band, no, actually THE GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IN HUMAN HISTORY, The Beatles. That ALONE gets him on there! He's perfect! If Baker or Moon or some showoff got in that band, then the chemistry would be ruined. It was a joint effort, not an instrumental show-off-fest, and Ringo held down the fort.
GO RINGO!!!! Don't let anyone mock you, you were a Beatles and the rest of those nobody-wannabes WEREN'T!!!

How could no one else say Neil Peart? He is friggin amazing!!!!! I have yet to hear a drummer better...
also, I have to say that I find Keith Moon annoying... when I listen to The Who, all I can hear half the time is the damn drumming... there is a time for loud drumming, and a time for quiet... I just feel he is annoying... he has the skill though...

Nah, Ringo Starr is nothing big... it's not like the songs the beatles wrote took such technical skill on the drumms... plus, it was Mcartney and Lennon who wrote most of the songs, and then Harrison threw in a few... I get by with a little help from my friends is far from the best beatles song... so no, he's definately not the best drummer, far from it... The Beatles made Ringo Starr, so in other words, Lennon and Mcartney made Ringo Starr...

Ringo, baby, it's all Ringo. The proof is in the pudding, he played drums on the songs that everybody else WANTED to play drums on...
but guess what... EVERYBODY ELSE WASN'T A BEATLE, YOU DIG?!?!?!?! Sunshine of Your Love my ass. Pinball Wizard, suck my dick. Cheesy prog Peart, git off da stage, little boy!!! John Bonham? More like John Bone-him, cuz he's gay. Strawberry Fields Forever is the REAL prize, and RINGO WINS FIRST PLACE!!!!

Ringo is the man. Complimeted them perfectly. It wasn't about technical skill, it was about Lennon/Mac's imaginations and ideas, and Ringo smartly stayed in the background, delivering tasteful beats that only added to the pop nirvana.

yeah, I must admit, a lot of Rush tunes (well the 80's stuff at least) is pretty crappy, but the drumming is excellent... well, every instrument is played excellent... Geddy Lee is my favorite bass player by the way... I have a Rush live album Three Stages, and the drum solo is excellent...

Ophecks... Ringo has no style... all of his drum beats were what George Martin told him to do. I strongly urge that you listen to more drummers than that of maybe the greatest rock'n roll band of all time. For fucks sake, Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich certainly aren't "show-off's" ... that's their style of music. Would you call Miles Davis, or Armstrong a show off just b/c they play jazz? I'm tired of Ringo playing 2 & 4 shit.

Ringo is pure awesomeness, rolled into a 5'6'' body and a huge nose. He's the man, HE'S the drummer that will go down in eternity while all others are forgotten, end of story. The reality is, he IS famous, there's no if's and's or but's.
