anyone read the interview yet? Interesting to hear that he's
been on Aphex Twin chatrooms and that he gets banned for
winding people up straight away.

I wonder if he's been on here? If I had to guess I would
think he was that Kara person.

I might as well subscribe again, I seem to buy almost every
issue anyway.

yes! the scum on the street corner had it, i asked him how
he gets new issues quickly, he says 'they sometimes fall off
the back of a lorry'

good

anyway its a v good interview, nice to see aphex/ rephlex
back in the spotlight a bit. Although he does says most of
the demos sent to rephlex are very shit :-( he says 'it
fucks u over, listening to demos, coz the hit rate is so
low' boo hoo

Heh heh. The IDM messageboards thing is funny. Like MikeP
when he said just because someone posts on messageboards
alot doesn't mean their music is good.

I love these guys.

Read it in the bar and everyone who walked past kind of
hovered slightly before carrying on, staring at the weird
pictures of the Rephlex boys.

It was The Wire's thing where they play records to musicians
without telling them what they are and they have to guess
who the artist is.

It somehow deviated to messageboards and he basically said
he found fanboys and shit-stirrers tiresome. Basically that
constitutes about 99% of all IDM messageboards.

a friend pasted this on soulseek:

"For a while computers were very liberating, but now the big
problem with computers, apart from the fact that they keep
going wrong, is that you've got so many distractions -
email, looking at downloads. Once all you could do was make
music, but now you really have to be disciplined." - Aphex
Twin in this month's Wire mag.

Great Interview; a rare one as I think he seemed somhow more
geniune, & kinda serious...WELL worth the 3.60...

Give it a couple of weeks and I'll sort out scans, ok....

THE WIRE is a very small mag; kinda specialist, so I'm
loathe to forgo any of their monies...They've already gone
thru finanical problems in the past so hope that makes
sense...

Anyways...check thru my Archives at G3RM and there
quite a few great scans of recent interviews to keep ya
going til then....

BTW Check out The Wires site for subs/back issues...(FREE
CDs & bonuses with every issue, & cheap as well...)...

Before I go, Boomcat or MNS sell The Wire by mail order ...
try one of those...

FUCK!...I sound like a WIRE walking billboard...:)...
