i just wanted to know everybody's opinion on this. i think its not just an awesome soundtrack but a great album too. the only soundtrack ive ever heard that really flows and has feeling. plus imagining all the scenes in fight club while the songs are playing is always good. if only the dust bros would put out a true album

My big problem with it - 'Where Is My Mind?' is the only goddamn Pixies song anyone talks about any more.

i disagree wholeheartedly. i think this collection doesnt stand alone very well as an album. essentially it is "score" and, as audio-only, operates best as a vehicle to conjure up scenes from the movie. you are most likely confusing its apparent "feeling" with the greatness of the movie and associated sensory experiences with the sound coupled with visuals... are you a synesthetic?

it's the only stand-alone song in the movie, too.
saw frank black perform that last year by the way and it was totally sweet, the only frank black track worth mentioning

I love this album, much more than I do the film, even though I think the film is very good. This soundtrack not only suits the film well (It manages to sound like darkly comedic music- esp. the track space monkeys), but works very well as an album.

I would of liked it better if it was done by Radiohead.

i agree with the fact that this was an enjoyable piece of soundtrack work - it's really nice to chill too, or listen to while driving. it's not a masterpiece per say, but then again masterpieces are pretty rare.

it would have been cool if radiohead did it, but it also prolly would have lead to a completely different feel for the movie, as rh is much more soft and depressing than the db turned this album out as

radiohead were asked to do it.. almost accepted.. i believe nin were considered too but declined in order to work on the fragile
good decision for both bands, soundtracks are too time consuming.. the dust brothers have yet to release a proper album so i didn't mind that they did it and it turned out well
