i just received news from the man who runs the DIY label
that releases my music.... he's having a kid soon, and
there's other problems, and this means that the label might
be winding down pretty soon. Which means all my albums will
be discontinued, basically.

of course, he said "might" but i'm pretty sure there's a
good possibility that it will happen. damn it, this ruins my
whole day. i'm so...... AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

'discontinued' mean what exactly?

that they will no longer be manufacturing or distributing
them.

which bsically means none of my music will be available to
the online public, which means i'll be officially and
completely unemployed.

i appreciate the humour fleets, as always. things happen for
a reason sometimes, and i guess this is my cue to stop being
so lazy and try a bit harder.

Yeh well a backup plan is a good idea if you want to pursue
music... are you going to uni or a trade school or sumpin?

qrter: I am bitterly disappointed in you for not commenting
on my Halloween track! I realize it's probably a bit
conventional by your standards as it doesn't consist of a
condenser mic pushed into an electrocuted weasel's ass and
all...

i was going to a college, but i didn't have any money to pay
for this semester so no dice there - trust me, i'm trying to
find work - i'm going to try to get back in next semester.

I'm sorry for you,
and I really really hope things work out,
in one way or another.
This must be paralysing for you.. but just begin to move
again, and you'll soon be on your feet. If you make good
music, there will always be hope for you. :)

If you feel the need, either do your own discs on CD-r at
home (which is what a lot of my label is based around at the
minute), or burn a bunch of discs and send them to small
indie labels. One will be happy to pick up your music,
hopefully. Maybe no bigger than your current situation, but
if you don't mind that, I can't imagine you'd have much of a
problem.

Trying to make money out of music is a complete fantasy. So
in as polite a way as I can say it 'WAKE UP'!

Promo is completely correct, of course. Especially with the
music you're doing.
But it's always nice to have proper copies of your own
music, and it's nice to let people have CDs.

No, it just gets annoying hearing you bleat on and on and on
time and time again about it. I know I'll never make money
from my music. I don't care either.

Well why entertain people's (complete and utter) fantasies?
Does more harm than good IMO.

well thank you all for the sympathy - even promo, whilst it
was a bit harsh. that's why i like this place, people care.
it may be a dream but fuck it, it's my dream and I'm not
going to give up since I've been doing it for over 10 years
now.

anyways, i'm going to be sending my music to other labels
soon, so maybe i'll find something else. i can't go any
LOWER from here, so i guess that's a positive way to look at
it. :D

a bigger label?

Best of luck man

aw, thanks, i love you too. btw, have you finished the new
site yet?

zeus - yes, i was also looking at it this way as well.
lunaticworks contacted me today about a cowboy sugarcakes
demo, they said it wasn't quite what they were looking for,
but asked me to keep it coming anyways. which i shall.
thanks again. :D

nope.

gotta start from square one... will still be up in the
projected time frame.

but were making it more animated and interactive (see
www.ween.com for a general idea of what were going for)

interesting, indeed.

i remember when i completely reprogrammed my site a while
back and had to rewrite the html code from the ground up -
it's a bitch no matter what you're doing, and time consuming
- but it always pays off.

yeah, i mean... better to go back to the drawing board NOW
then say, 6 months down the line when were almost finished.

at this rate, i still think it can be ready when it needs to
be.

Don't such a baby. Just trip over and accidently punch the
mother real hard in the stomach when they're having the
'We're Having A Baby' Party. And be sure to say a witty
remark when you get up and apologise or else they'll blame
you for lil' Duncan's death.
