ok, for one thing... i cant believe people are discussing
keyboards in a thread like this.

for another, i think her dumping you in an e-mail is
hideous. plus, didn't you say this woman is a christian? i
think i remember hearing that. why is she dumping you to
begin with? til death do you part. what the hell happened to
sticking through crap.

people are way too irradic these days.

i feel for you paul. it's sad to hear that, knowing how much
bullcrap you have traversed for this woman. perhaps being in
the states, you can move on and explore our country... take
it in and try to do the self-discovery thing. i know i would
if i was in that situtation.

if you're ever in pennsylvania, give me a ring.

good luck.

not supported = not physicall there...

like i said, the nord's strength is is ability to wail live.
another thing to amend to my previos post, that'll highlight
this point even more, is that the nord 2 has a type of
"recorded modulation" function called "morphing" where you
can program how you want sounds to evolve over a set poriod
of time. Even though this isn't that complex to do, it IS
how-ever, complex to explain on a MB. I CAN say, however, i
CAN'T see this function working well without keys, since it
relies heavily on velocity sesitivity (which the NL2 has is
spades!).

simple yet complex? hmmm, i'd say yes and no. it's easy for
a beginner to pick up and figure things out, but the true
beauty to it is making it sound like you're NOT using a
NL2...also, if you have exp with additive modulation
synthesis (which practially everything is), then you can
program some killer patches. I seriously wouldn't sugest the
rack.

well.... if i dont get a Nord Rack... ill definately be
getting some sort of rack synth

thats its first requirement

so... sorry, I wont be buying yours :-\

what type of "sound" are you looking for?

subtractive, and FM

not like a hardcore FM... just with the ability to have it,
to add alittle bit of that FM feel you know?

and its gotta have good filters

do you know anything about the Novation Nova, or the
JP-8080?

they are both in my price range, on ebay.

All the reivews praise the fuck out of them... but the
reviews are from several years ago...

FM (IMO) sucks...the sound to it is sooo off, limited, and
cliche. (IMO). so is the 303, but the 303 has a "chemical"
sound to it if done right...or it can simply come out
sounding "synthetik. (which happens to be equally as
popular)" IMO, FM has no quality like this. BUT, if you're
interested i'd personally sugest getting a proggy called,
REAKTOR, and create, or steal, a FM module. I'm sure though
that FM can open some interesting venues if you spend TONS
of time hacking it, but i don't think that anyone'll play
columbus with that to pull anything good.

as for those two synths...i don't really know anything about
them, really. is the jp-8080 a "jupiter?" I've been told
that they are REALLY bad ass...the nova's a name i've seen
before, but not really all that sure about..BUT (heh) all
the sotries i've read/heard are refering to them as
keyboards, not as modules...

I like FM, when used right...

I actually do have Reaktor... I just want something with
more hands on... specific role in the studio kind of thing.

also, something that doest take up 40% CPU for big patches
and make my computer not play :'(

It's made me think a lot tho... my old man leaving when I

depressed me a bit, I admit.

Dude that's fucking serious bad!

BUT if it's someone who'd break up a marriage via email,
then it's probabvly for the best you go find someone a
little better.

And life has ratios, man, if you go through a lot of shit,
in the end you'll find someone SO worth it that it'll
compensate.

Trust me.

Don't be negative just fucking trust me, this was to happen,
man. You'll find a girl who'll like give you brain in the
whip and shit and you'll be like, smiling all the way to
work.

on this board, man. My thoughts are with you in this

Ending a marriage with a fucking e-mail? I could actually
forgive, if someone had been dating for a while, and someone
wrote something like that, but a marriage is like... she
must be insane.
Anyway, dont give up, we all have to face huge nasty things
once in a while.

that is fucking low though... for a marriage? That's almost
too low to believe... did you see it coming though? Cause to
just up and end a marriage like that period, but then
through an e-mail is just worse... I guess no one can fault
her for wanting to end the relationship... if someone is
unhappy in a relationship, that is their option... but damn,
ending a MARRIAGE through an e-mail is rediculous... she
could've at least called... but even meeting, even given the
distance factor, wouldn't have been unreasonable... damn
man, all the best... hope you find more happiness in the

hope you meet your soulmate too!
