What magazines do you buy? I buy i-D and The Face (which has been shit for almost a year). I'm thinking of subscribing to Vice. Does anyone here make fanzines?

its a cool counter culture type magazine that deals with corporate image and boycotting and things.
very informative.
it's like those anti-smoking truth commercials, but for the whole business world.
that was a bad way to describe it.

I don't subscribe to any magazines, but when I'm at an airport/train station with nothing to read I tend to get either Sound on Sound (Music Tech mag) or Jockey Slut (Electronic and Hip Hop music magazine).

i used to be a lot better when i was living in the DC area; i could go to independently owned stores and support off brands. but going to school in smalltown, USA i have no choice but to shop at walmart. the best thing i can do is only buy what i need and to spread messages through conversation and writing. i eat at taco bell and subway once in a while but i won't eat at mcdonald's. i know it's not a huge difference since they're all monopolies (taco bell is even owned by pepsi food), but subway is at least healthy depending on what you get. i know a lot of people who are better at living their ideals than i am but they almost all live in cities or go to colleges that provide easy alternatives to the norm.

FHM, Stuff, Maxim, etc. = all men's fantasies. in reality, their advice doesn't even apply to, much less work for, most readers. it's like a joke.. nice pictures though!

I'm ashamed to admit I sometimes buy Rolling Stone. And I often pick up Guitar World, Guitar Player, etc, to learn some new songs and riffs.
The only reading material I pick up with regularity is The Hockey News, though.

Yeah, I did the same thing for years, I bought Ultra Game Players (the BEST magazine ever, just hilarious... I cried when they went under), Game Pro and EGM all the time, but never subscribed. I would have saved well over a billion dollars.
I've tried to keep every video game magazine I've ever bought dating back to 1989, I've still got hundreds.
