This is a great album and IMO i like it best! Can't really
go into detail because i'd need to listen to it again to be
more specific.

Good stuff though :D

hot shit!

I saw him live last night, and listening to the new record
now doesnt do him justice! his live shows are 999x more
intense!

is it similar to lipswitch and/or aleamapper?

It's more like aleamapper, but still lots more structure.
It's more floor friendly. I believe all 13 tracks except 2
of them have beats. again, great stuff.

i've seen him live not long ago and i loved it...really
intense music, lots of fast beats...i wish he'd release
something in that manner
i havent heard asect - dsect yet (except for one track), but
i get the feeling its nothing like the music he plays
live...i have lipswitch but i was totally disapointed in
that so i wasnt checking his new stuff out after i bought
it...but afetr seeing him live, i'll definitely get asect
dsect, perhaps i might enjoy it someday...

i thought it was more like lipswitch than aleamapper.

maybe 75% lipswitch 25% aleamapper. it has the better
elements of both records and sounds more 'mature' (if i cant
define the sound of the record in such a way).

This is the only album I have been talking about in here.

Incidentally, a friend of mine recorded the vancouver show
and in store preformance that Richard did in vancouver.

I got asect;dsect autographed :)

Same here...been mentioning it for a while since getting a
japanese promo...

Looking forward to hearing his work on surround sound as
well that's been long promised...that'll fit him like a
glove...

(also far better than Draft 7.30 to these ears & mind
...)...

Holy shit, I've forgotten to check it out...

''also far better than Draft 7.30 to these ears & mind''

Yowza.

And I liked Lipswitch a whole lot more than Aleamapper
(Scatter freakin' Fold 28).

I am halfway through downloading it, listening to the second
song so far and man this shit is kicking my ass all over the
place...I have already heard more idea by the 2nd track than
the entirety of Draft 7.30

But why is it on the lame arse Asphodel (dj spooky's label)
why not schematic?

It is on schematic. Asphodel is distributing.

Just downloaded this from EMusic - it is definitely not as
dry and ascetic as Aleamapper, and the beats are more fluid
and polyrhythmic than on Lipswitch - which I found a bit too
static except for Patelle which is incredible.

I love the fast "grid" tracks like track 7 - lesser
musicians would exhaust themselves creating a tenth of its
information density, and it also manages to swing...

He's doing the surorund sound thing on 12.1 by the looks of
it... (sound goes up and down as well)
