UFO - Probably the BEST record I've ever heard. The tracks
fits seamlessly together one by one to finally create a
masterpiece.

After phobiazero highly recommended this album I went out on
a limb and bought it without hearing anything by him.
Needless to say I'm npt disapointed in the least. This album
is amazing.

Same here. It's a damn good album, but it was released a
while ago, has he done anything else since then? I've heard
UFO and the 2099 EP, but that's all.

After listening to it for 3-4 weeks everyday, on the bus to
work, I know the tracks inside out. My current fave is
Emir-X, I just wish it was a bit longer. There's alot of
nice strings on this CD. It's right up there with Ae's Amber
for me as a desert island CD.

D'oh! I have to quit relying on Allmusic.com for this
obscure stuff.

Well lookee here, a handful of post-1999 releases, and a ton
of earlier stuff I havne't heard. I'm digging it.

Possibly one of my favourite 'Lurk in the dark' releases
ever! :)

Marco was definitly spot on with creating the right texture
in the mood in this one!

(does that make sense?)

I actually wasn't impressed with the first few listenings,
but it grew on me eventually, and now it is one of my
favourites, very different from his earlier stuff though,

I like the way that he can change any part of the track at
any time but make it all seamless,

I finally received this yesterday, and i must say it's a
beauty! Nice to say i also bought it because of phobiazero's
recommendation. And again, like with ulrich schnauss, which
he also recommended, this is already a classic for me.

I still second my first statement in this thread. I can't
get enough of it... Check out the samples - Buy the records.
It's quite simple. :)

The 3d Quadrant is excellent, 6 Katun has its moments,
Sullen Look is very entertaining but very different from his
previously mentioned darker stuff.

If you like this, get your hands on Monolake's new Axis
Carbon ep.

hi new record rules. Sullen Look

not sure if you lot would really dig it as much as UFO, but
I like it more myself...way more Chicago & Detroit
techno/house stuff...really top notch. on the same tip as
something like Recloose's first album, Cardiology.

Not a big fan of this one. The song *A-Tek* is so promising,
the beat is exactly what I love most in music: headbangin'
offbeat hip hop resetting itself at the wrong moments...

... then he kicks in this unmastered sounding click-tap at
2:24 and just RUINS the song, fucks it up completely. That
click is so much louder then everything. The whole album is
full of mismatches like that.

Having said that, one of his songs (on another cd),
Godfathers Minuetto is really good, one of my favorites
maybe.

what the fuck is an "unmastered click-tap?" i mean
really...if you people are going to pick apart tracks at
time spots you should really just make your own fucking
tracks that sound exactly how you want them and not listen
to any garbage that's out there.

It's not quite a click, not quite a tap. It's louder then
every other part of the song.

I don't know why you are so upset at my observation. (Unless
you are Passarani yourself.)

I'm listening to it again right now, and once again am taken
back by the inital beat. I LOVE IT. It's just this sound (I
chose to call it a click-tap, you call it whatever you want)
that comes in at 2:23 sounds so amateurish, to my ears.

Just my opinion.

Hmmm. Got this one in my shelves, but the last time I
listened to it, I thought it's kinda mediocre and dated.
Sorry.
