The sound of clicking a link

I have noticed it differs from different computers. On my
puter it's just a short "ssss"-sound. But on my friends
puter it sounds like "ktsch". These are noises the computer
makes, and are not set by the user.
Notice: the sounds are very quiet. You really have to pay
attention to hear them.

What does it sound like when you click a link?

All three of my computers make no sounds when I click on a
link.

it is a very short clicking sound. almost like a mouse click
but i know it is coming from the speakers, because you can
record it .

I'm on a mac so I dont hear it, but whenever i'm on a
windows computer using explorer its there. Arguably one of
the most pointless features ever thought up.

There really is a sound that you can set in windows
explorer..

I use netscape though (and have turned off most sounds in
explorer)...

What the hell, I never noticed that it actually makes a
click sound! Amazing! I always blocked it out with selective
hearing I guess.

My tinnitus cancels out those low sounds. It's great like
that. Also, I don't have to be in a big city to hear the
city's noise pollution.
