i just spent the better part of a day making a song. i did
lots and lots of fine tuning and tweaking. it was good, i
was proud.
i clicked "no dont save" by accident.

i ofcourse read from the title that you wrote a song but
didnt want to post it and deleted it because you thought it
not good enough for us, that'd be nice of you
all you guys write a song way too fast for me anyway, like
in a day or something, that's beyond me

yeah.
I save after every process. Pressing Ctrl+S is so much nicer
than not pressing it and crashing the software.

bad luck man :(
I had to recreate the start of this song I'm doing coz I
loaded a preset into this nice synth by accident and went
"ahhh fuck! OK I'll just reload the song" and then realized
I hadn't saved in about half an hour.

Yeah nothing worse then sequencing something for 15 minutes
OxygenFad style and then it fucking crashing. Over hte
years Ive thought "Well if you cant do it again you
problebly were not worthy to do it in the first place"

I don't even think about it anymore, I Ctrl+s every time I
pause for thought in all programs. Even in Word writing
reports/essays, as soon as I stop to think what to write
next. It's not really a concious thing, sometimes Floops
will crash and I'll think I've not saved in 20 mins, then
I'll load the file back up and It'll only be the last
pattern I was working on that is missing.
