He and Juan Atkins were Cybotron. Atkins left because Davis was more interested in guitars, while Atkins did his best to copy Kraftwerk. Atkins has been pointed out as the godfather of techno, if there is such a thing. I mean, he was so inspired by Kraftwerk. He has said himself in interviews, he couldn't believe how precise Kraftwerk's music was. Check out his Model 500 stuff. I love the 'Sonic Sunset' album. |
