I like bass, played it plenty, but prefer guitar. Playing
bass in a band is good cause you don't have to play half as
much :)

Yeah I still got my Peavey fretless stashed away somewheres.

If you wanna pick up on how to play lowdown kickass dirty
bass lines I recommend playing along to the Beasties Check
your Head and any old James Brown and Motown (James
Jamerson!) compilations you can find.

What kind of bass did you get?

i play a mexican Fender P-Bass.

i love it.

they run about $350 and have a really nice sound. the only
downside is the weight but if you don't play standing up
much, it's no biggie.

Go to your local guitar tech and have them set your bass up
for you. They adjust the bow in the neck and the string
height and tune it and shit for about 40$ generally. it
makes a huge difference if your bass hasn't been "set up"
recently. or if the weather has been changing (like
humidity and temp)
