What is considered 'shock rock'? Marilyn Manson I guess is
an example; he's okay. I don't own any CD's, and I don't
have any MP3's though.

i mean music with a presentation that is meant to cause
shock, awe and sometimes disgust in people.

i don't mind earlier manson myself, either. his newer stuff
i don't care for as much though.

i like marilyn manson, but that's probably the only 'shock
rock' i've heard

i'm familiar with gwar's image, but i don't think i've ever
actually heard their sound

Nay... though I don't really have a problem with it... I
just don't like it. I certainly like my music with some
humor injected, very tongue in cheek... but not TOO over the
top. Not too gimmicky.

Marylin Manson isn't awful, he was the first in my eyes to
bring it mainstream, and I do have respect for his "be your
own god" type of thing.

Slipknot and the rest........bwahhhhh, I don't bother
thinking about them at all.
