...from one format to another?

Which all in one utility do you recommend that can change
from pretty much any format to another (.wav to .mp3 to .avi
to .wmp, etc. )with good sound quality?

from wav to mp3 i use razor lame.

works like a charm!

i use db poweramp to convert wav -> mp3 and vice versa.
you can d/l plugins to do .ogg files for sure, i've got it.
but i dunno about other available plugins -_-

well, that's just for wav-mp3 and vice-versa. i use MPEG
suite if I want to convert mp3-mp3

A chicken on speed sings into a custom made microwave that
records MP3's

By that I mean I use Soundforge most of the time when I need
to do this sort of think.

I use photoshop (for the graphics) and wordpad or notepad
for the text (lyrics).

sorry that's not an answer to your question!

I use Exact Audio Copy... it's free and it uses lame (it
works like a shell for lame)...
So I use lame, and EAC...
