this is track 7 in the last cd (the altogether)

I know this track is not original orbital, it must be a
remix or something...

can anybody link me to an audio of the original?

It's their version of the theme to the British cult sci-fi
TV series 'Doctor Who'.
There are several different versions of the theme around
from the different series (the programme was around for
about thirty years).

i lately asked 010101010101010101 if Delia D. had heard
Orbital's version and he said she (probably) had. i believe
him, but i can't find her reaction to it anywhere on the
web.

Doctor? was the most disappointing Orbital track ever. Well
maybe not ever but it sure did suck.

I've heard Halcyon and Live @ Glastonbury and maybe even an
unofficial live recording, and I was disappointed. There
simply wasn't anything that made me think "wow" or "that was
really cool". I'm a huge fan of both Doctor Who and Orbital,
so I think it was reasonable to expect something really
good. Instead, it seemed like they built a half decent
foundation, and then lazily through some artless beat on
top. It almost seems sas if they got half way through
composing, and decided that the Dr Who novelty factor would
carry the rest.

doctor? only sucks if you, like, me had been listening to
the live version for a year or two before the album came out
and were hoping for that minus the crowd noise. The album
version is not bad, but the live version is better, and
hearing it live was way better than that.

blah blah blah

live versions are always better if you're there in the
audience

mostly

I was going to make a comment about how much I had enjoyed
this track live and in person but now I'm scared of your
scorn!

please don't be afraid and post away

(i guess i somehow regret i didn't go to their show when
they played near my place and hence the aggression in my
post, you know, the psychology)

i'm playing the girl with sun in her head right now
