What is the standard policy here for posting your music just for comments? Well, here is one I made recently. I was here once before and posted a song long ago, but I seem to have lost my login or it was removed for whatever reason. The idea is that you don't just post when you want someone to listen to something you have made. If I get a chance later I will take a listen to this though. |

Yeah I understand that guys.. I'm not trying to just post then, I'll be around. I wanted to get in on one of the table tennis songs(compilations) you guys do, but I got caught up in some real life issues so lost time on the pc. Yes I'm a Skinny Puppy fan, I would love to put words to some songs, but i can't think of anything to write. How should I start down that road? Is there something that helps inspire or leads to a creative flow any of you may practice? For words that is. |

try stream-of-conciousness excercises. just write whatever comes to mind without thinking twice or changing anything - don't even fix mistakes. just keep writing everything you think of, even word fragments, until you fill a page. that's how i initially learned to write lyrics, and i got better and more refined at it the more i did it. eventually i started just automatically "hearing" the beat and rhythm of the words and it came naturally. then i started realizing that what i was writing actually made sense and had meaning. |

sweet, yeah I had a feeling it would be something I would just have to get over.. like a block I would just have to start and continue until it refined itself some. Thanks for the advice. Anyone else get a chance to listen? |

I started writing lyrics today, hopefully I can come up with something that will work with it. Even if I have to rearrange the song. |
