I saw the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum though... took loads of pictures of the different paintings... I had read that they had some Monet paintings in one of those somewhere, and I would've loved to have seen them, but alas I didn't... ah well! |

that's cool that you live near amsterdam! i love how cities in europe are so close to each other (unlike in the us and canada) that you can basically take little day trips and visit some awesome places! do you live near rotterdam? i've always wanted to go there. i hear that city has some spectacular modern architecture...great photo opportunities!!! |

well I live basically in the center of the heart of The Netherlands I guess... it's not very big anyways, and I live over closest to all the major cities, so yeah I doubt Rotterdam is very far... I'm definitely going there sometime... hehe, maybe I'll run over there tomorrow... well, this is how close it is I guess... two people who I work with live in Rotterdam... they drive in every morning... one of them said it was about 15 or 20 minutes drive I believe... by train it would probably be longer, but still not too bad I wouldn't say... |

i passed out in the van gogh museum, nice area that, i enjoyed that thing you could jump on and it plays notes, all the notes go well with each other so you could make some funky tunes i went to this techno party in den haag which was interesting, the techno was crap but the stuff they played in the chill out room was pretty good, was well chuffed that you could buy a joint over the counter in the club, worst join ever, must have been years old |

hehe, that's great! i hope you get to see a lot while you're in holland. if you want to visit other places in europe you have to check out ryanair.com....unbelievable prices to most cities in europe. i'm flying from stockholm to glasgow in a few weeks for like $65 roundtrip!!! |

yeah, ryanair, my roommate has mentioned that... I haven't really looked into flying anywhere... I would like to go to London... I want to go to Paris, and maybe Antwerp... possibly Germany... but all those places are accessible by train really... |

so where exactly do you live then? rotterdam is nice but there's lots of similar cities in canada or the us. it's our national little metropolitan :) check out leiden too (see if you can spot me). it's where rembrandt was born (these sort of facts are tourist magnets) |

heh. zoetermeer is actually a 15 minute busride from where i live whaddayaknow (do you ever take bus 170?) leiden is deffo worthwile |

you picked one awful city to live in tho ;) on the other hand, if you're in a high enough building, you can see rotterdam, the hague, and maybe even amsterdam. ahh how i love my dear holland :D see ya around |

that's what I heard, that Zoetermeer is pretty ugly and stuff... it's alright, but yeah Amsterdam was real nice, and Den Haag... and I went to Delft too, and that place was nice... I didn't have a choice though... but I wouldn't have known any different had I had a choice anyways! |

rotterdam is about 20/30min from zoetermeer and costs about 6.25 euros i believe. have a nice stay in clumpland. |
