Vinyl Storage Tip for Swedes

1. Buy one of these boxes from IKEA (they room about 80 records, dunno
really, I haven't counted them).

2. Buy a bottle of Silver spray. You know the stuff to use
to cover marks and damages on cars.

3. Apply the Silver spray on the box.

4. Voila! You have turned a boring, semi-transparent yellow
or pink IKEA-box to a great storage case for your vinyls
with a cool metallic finish!

And it's all very cheap.... about 40:- SEK for each box.
Well, this is what I've done - thought I'd share it.

Of course, this might as well be useful for ppl in other
countries. ;-)

I love top tips!

X-Files fans. Create the effect of being abducted by aliens
by
drinking two bottles of vodka. You'll invariably wake up in
a strange
place the following morning, having had your memory
mysteriously
"erased."

A hedgehog trained to scuttle up and down the table from
guest to
guest makes an unusual mobile cheese and pineapple cube
nibble
dispenser at cocktail parties.

Domestos is an ideal substitute for Blue Curaco, and far
less pricey.
It gives any cocktail a bit of "oomph."

Whilst in bed protect yourself from vampires and werewolves
by hiding
under the covers.

Make cheap but effective baby rattles by gluing a lollipop
stick to an
empty matchbox, then filling it with ten woodlice.

A length of plastic drainpipe with a roller skate at each
end makes an
ideal "car" for snakes.

Pastorius!

:: high-fives refund ::

If you want to hear some incredible Pastorius work pick up
Hejira by Joni Mitchell. Also has some top studio guys like
Larry Carlton and Victor Feldman. They weave a fucking
strange intricate web around Joni's guitar and voice.

Warp. It's going to cost nearly 500kr.

Which desk is that, your link doesn't work. Is it the one
called the jerker? I have that one too, and its the best
thing ever. Its so sturdy, and the additional tier addons
are the bomb.

ahh, yes ikea. i bought a cool lack shelf/bookase
thing...its not listed on the US website but they have them
at the store...

its kinda like two of these:
http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDispla
y?topcategoryId=15561&catalogId=10103&storeId=12&productId=
11317&langId=-1&categoryId=17066&chosenPartNumber=00045560

so i just fliped it on its side, turntables on top, records
on the far bottom, and the top shelf is for powersupplys,
doo dads, odds and end things. its the best thing i've ever
bought there for vinyl record storage

that desk posted above i have to agree with too, its the
shit. i'm actually thinking about craigslisting my current
desk so i can buy that one...the movable shelves is the
biggest selling point for me, my trigger finger will fit
there nicely
