I have a problem with it...the school has already written
off the abilities of these students. There have been many
cases where so called "special educational needs" students
have been unbeleivably gifted in other areas and because of
lack of interest from the schools and lack of
exploritoration of talents they go unidentified until later
life when it is often to difficult and late to
constructively use them.

quoting the mom:

"It seems rather demeaning," said John Finders, whose son
participated in the program. "The thought of him doing that
in front of the normal students just drove me nuts."

wtf, way to go mom, rag on your son like a bitch. jeezus

Because even for someone with a decent education once they
have passed the age of about 23 without having full time
employment experience in a specialist field it becomes very
difficult for them to get a decent job. Now if you have an
educative background which has not pushed you, it is even
harder again.
