Best show I've been to yet. Better than Radiohead, even (my
favourite live band so far).

Carter Tutti I was previously unaware of. They combine dark
ambient throbbing pulsey music with pretty chugging IDM
beats, and are fucking great. Another CD I shall have to
buy, alas. The singer's vocals are a tad new wordly, in that
sort of woman whispering kind of way, but she also played
trumpet (I think) on a couple of tracks. Highly recommended.

Current 93 came on. David Tibet was far more lively than
I've heard people say of him at other recent shows. The band
played a large range of material, mostly slightly different
arrangements for the band lineup (new addition of a cellist
playing on most tracks, which was very nice), some tracks
from Imperium back in 1987 (including Locust, which was
insanely loud, complete with industrial screaming siren
noise throughout), through Thunder Perfect Mind, Of Ruine or
Some Blazing Starre, All the Pretty Little Horses, Soft
Black Stars, Sleep Has His House, and some lyrics from the
latest EP, Hypnagogue, set to very different music.

All in all, a fucking excellent show.

I'll check out Carter Tutti, sounds good. Did Tibet do any
of those purrrdy solo piano tracks from Soft Black Stars?
The only live Current 93 I've heard is Some Soft Black Stars
Seen Over London, the piano stuff is my favorite from Tibet.

Mmm, Soft Black Stars is my favourite C93 album too. He did
The Signs In The Stars (track 8), with cello, flute and
guitar in the 'chorus' type bits, and solo piano in the
rest, and Whilst The Night Rejoices Profound And Still
(track 9), with just Maja Elliot on piano. Two of my
favourites from the evening, and two of my C93 favourites,
too.

After a bit of reading. Carter Tutti were, until very
recently, known as Chris & Cosey, both former members of
Throbbing Gristle.
That makes it all the more interesting, yes it does.
