you have to have them saved into an m3u playlist. took me
awhile to figure out, too. and actually...i'm just having a
hard time in general with this program (i know it's not
that difficult, but hey. fucktards never get off easy
with stuff like this). it'll take some work, i believe.

He's messing with you mate- "wheat field", "farmer",
"tractor" :)

Dub: You need to turn the "amount" dial that turns the
filter on. This lets you fade the amount of filter in and
out. By default it's off.

you have winamp i assume? open all the tracks you want into
winamp, save the playlist, and that, friend, is an m3u (did
that even make sense?).

Not so far as I know... VST FX support would be excellent.
Of course, you can always plug the audio out of your pc into
a hardware fx box. Not as clunky as it sounds if you've
already got a mixer with an attached fx unit in the club
already.

Dub, nope only local record label I've heard of is
http://www.plasticraygun.com/

Sort of a more electronic oriented ninja tunes. I recommend
their label sampler "The Raygun Administration".

I'll give boobytrap a check out when I'm at a pc with
sound.

Are you local? ;)

Ambsace: It's pretty similair to CDJing... but with the lack
of a nice jog wheel. Have you tried mixing the three
included mp3s? They're really easy to mix- similair bpms and
they never fall out of sync (some records even when beat
mixed perfectly fall out of sync due to being slightly out
of temp themselves- particularly true of tracks with live
drummers...)

My fav. artist on plastic raygun is probably dynamo dresden.
Pretty innovative too:

"Dynamo Dresden’s music is heavily sample based. During
live performances many of these samples are triggered by the
band members. We recognised that the key based act of
triggering samples was uninteresting, for both band members
and audience. Using experienced gained from the
‘Hodderdoda’ project we constructed the video-scratch
deck. This device optically registers the speed and
direction in which the vinyl rotates.

Using software written by ourselves, this information is
then translated into frame based movement within a given
digital video file. The net result is that an act of
turntablism can enable the user to directly manipulate a
visual image in addition to an audio sample. The extent of
the visual manipulation is comparable to the extent of the
audio manipulation, within the same medium. The sensitivity
of the software can be adjusted through a wide range in
order that a specific DJ style or technique can be used to
full effect, these sensitivities can be saved, independently
of one another, or they can be set ‘live’ using a
sensitivity control."

Now, if only they'd make 3 and lend them to the
x-ecutioners... :)

everything out, mess with their sample tracks, etc. just
kinda lazy. hehe.
