Is this possible ?

Winamp and WMP won't let me. Says somethng like 'the file is
still in use' which it is, but you can play mp3s when
they're downloading still.

another question: why is it that whenever i try to play a
fully-downloaded .wmv or .avi file WMP locks up and freezes
my computer?

You'll have to provide more information than that to get
real help. What operating system version? What version of
WMP? Is your system overclocked? Have you added any
additional codecs? Do you have a Dr Watson report or crash
dump?

Even then I wouldn't be able to help you because I don't
really know that much about it.

Windows ME, latest version of WMP, system is not
overclocked, i've added a few codecs, dunno what the last
thing you asked is

The best advice I can give you is to move off Windows ME at
the first convenient time. Upgrade to 2000, XP, or even
downgrade to 98SE as a last resort.
