just saw this film two days ago.

it's still resonating with me - horrifying but incredible.
really a great piece of work.

Isabelle Huppert is really amazing.

so many scenes to mention.

just wondering what other people here thought of it - it's
been quite a while since a film hit home like this one has.

about a 40-year old pianist, a teacher at a conservatory,
who still lives with her mother. their relation is pretty
twisted as is the pianist herself.
she visits porn cinema's, cuts herself (in her vagina
even..), etc.

then a young man falls in love with her and tries to get to
her - he gets more than he has bargained for because of her
hugely complex personality.

here it is at the IMdb

*brljkfkjd*
disturbingly prorocative, would be good cliche's to go with
that
it was like i saw it in the theatre and i never felt so much
emphathy from the crowd for the person that left before the
ending
it's worse than funny games and a lot more than horrible
stuff i saw, maybe just recogniseble with that glass for
instance (brr)
and the blow scene was brrr too
great!,
so my sister had piano lessons, and she said something like
every piano student might relate to this movie
brrr
