hi, I know there's a way (I've done it before) to gain admin controls on XP - I can't rememeber the nitty-gritty - I remember there was a way to access the safe-mode (I think) and create a new emergency admin user.... can someone tell me exactly what I need to do?
thanks

I can't remember the details on how to do it but it's on www.astalavista.com
Another way was to use a windows 2000 boot cd. That, for some reason, logged you in as Admin or something and let you do all the settings and shit.
On another note the CD's I promised are you are coming. I had a CD burning problem. They shall hopefully be on their way this week,

There is an option to make a disk which allows you to get admin access in case you forget your password, ut you have to be logged into the admin account to make that disk. I don't know any other way of doing it, and I can't see even Microsoft being so stupid as to allow anyone to get admin privs through safe mode.
