Starting with Reaktor?

I've been using a downloaded copy of FruityLoops 3 for
around a year now and I want to actually invest some money
in a good product... my question is, does anyone use Reaktor
4? is it too advanced for a newbie? if so is there something
close to it that would be easier to start with?

If you are just wanting to make music and you are quite
happy with Fruity I would stick to that. Reaktor is a
processor hog and while it is amazing it is not worth
spending out on unless you are into making your own synths
and stuff.

Reaktor is a lot of work. I mean you could spend the rest of
your life farting around in Reaktor and never get around to
writing any tracks...

I have to agree with ecnadniarb & fleetmouse. If you want to
legalise some software, do it to floops. Reaktor is good if
you're into sound design or synthesis, but to be honest,
unless you spend hours and hours on it, you'll find yourself
just using the synths that come with it. Nothing wrong with
them mind, but it'd be cheaper for you to get that thing
that can only read reaktor ensembles ("reaktor session" I
think it's called...)

I agree with said comments. Reaktor is a pisser to make yer
own synths. When I used to use it I would just load a decent
preset and tweek the filters a wee bit. Bobs yer unkle! New
synth!

Sweet like chocolate I say. I think I`ll download reaktor
now :)

use reaktor as a synth-fx-whatever-VSTplugin in FruityLoops
THAT's what i call possibilities

btw anythings possible in fruity, depending on which plugins
you have!
