Drukqs Best/Worst Tracks?

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-16 17:55 [#00052841]

listening to Gwarek 2 I can imagine a giant bug of some kind
attacking, say, Tokyo... but it's still pretty annoying...
:)

Btoum Roumada is fucking AWESOME, so is the song after
Vorhosbn. I'm stuck in a clock tower being chased by a guy
with a knife, that's what I picture.

Meltphace is awesome!!!! I love that one...

I also like Taking Control... noone seems to mention it, but
I think it's a great song... "I'm taking control of the drum
machine!!!" :)

I thought he was saying ''I'm taking control of the drum
scene''.
Either way, I LOVE IT! So tongue in cheek, I love the cheesy
start and clap type sounds.

Hi, folks, here is my opinion (of the ones I have heard):

Kesson Daslef - Excellent! I love the random beats ..
Vordhosbn - The part that Woofer pointed out rules - I agree
with him - supreme - and I don't use that word often.
Aussois - This is rather good too - I like the subtlety of
it.

Remember, though, there is not many Aphex Twin songs which I
do not like. Infact, I don't think there IS one I don't
like. Anyway, take it easy folks ..

Fuck, is he saying machine or scene? I'm listening, but I
can't make it out.

Ok, it's official... the second disc is totally brilliant...
not a bad track... now, time you digest the first disc...

Funky, scene or machine? I'm losing my mind.

I think it's machine... but who knows...

sorry i was too lazy to read all 2576 posts on drukqs but i
really need to know this: the piano tracks on drukqs, are
they played by richard himself, inspired by satie, or simply
the original pieces of satie, only shorter?

i got the album yesterday and so far it sounds really good.
but i see so many people here comparing it to the rdj album
and i dont have that one yet so maybe i should go out and
get it, like now.

Robert_Thoth:
I tried a similar thing with 2 of the tracks from analogue
bubble bath 3 (I forget the names, but they are the same
number, with "L" on the end of one and "R" on the other) I
then played them out of the left and right channels as
appropriate. It didn't sound too bad in places, but I'm not
sure when I should start each one as they are different
lengths. I just started them at the same time.

I quite often play aphex tracks on top of each other -2
instances of Winamp, with all my Aphex twin stuff in the
playlists on random and loop. Nuts! Once 2 copies of
Girl/Boy song were playing out of synch. Great fun.

I also play windowlicker over "clubbed to death" by rob
dougan.

Trevor: I think the piano tracks (avril 14th and nannou 2 in
particular) are the best on the album and hark back to the
more classical days of icbyd
