A similar thing happened to me, actually. I live in university halls of residence. A couple of days ago I was listening to Drukqs quite loud in my room. There were a lot of people in the corridor, all talking. But then, Gwarek2 comes on, and the corridor goes silent. Someone started knocking on my door and saying, "Who've you got in there?!?" |

I like Druqks... I've listened to the first cd, and I'm on track 5 of the second cd, and I like what I'm hearing... I just wish I had more time to really sit down and listen to it closely, rather then while I'm studying and stuff... ah well, in a couple weeks time, just a couple weeks time!!! |

No, I waited... so it's new and fresh to my ears today!!!! :) but ya know, maybe I'm totally behind the times and everybody has already thought about this, but I was reading a review on Amazon.com that a guy wrote about Drukqs, and he suggested that maybe Drukqs should be pronounced "Drug Use"... interesting... maybe that is what it means... |

I've only listened to it a little bit, but I must say, there is a lot of stuff on Drukqs that I love already... I like the very first track, it's nice... I like the little piano tracks as well... I find it kind of nice having piano songs following the louder ones... it gives your ears time to recover!!! :) |

Right, I've been listening to Drukqs more today (I confess I didn't pay it much attention up until now) and I've decided my faves are: Vordhosbn Cock-ver10 Avril 14th Mt Saint Michel Mix+St Michaels Mount Orban Eq Trx4 54 Cymru Beats Lornaderek Qkthr Meltphace 6 Father Afx237 v7 Ziggomatic v17 Nanou2 I realise this is a lot of tracks, but they're all fantastic... if RDJ had chosen those tracks and made them into a single album I would have liked Drukqs even more. I think there are too many piano/weird tracks on the album. |

This is just an opinion: I kept thinking that something was missing from Drukqs. So, on a hunch, I ripped the CD's to .wav files.From there I used Cool Edit PRO to multitrack the two CD's. That way, I could listen to the two CD's at the same time. From the results, I can say without a doubt that BOTH CD'S WERE MEANT TO BE PLAYED AT THE SAME TIME. Maybe it's old news,or maybe I'm only half right. Why don't you give it a try and tell me what you think? |

I think to know enough the real ability of Richard to create amazing music and new style of sound and honestly I found orban eq trx4 too elementary. Well, the reason I love that track is the harsh, pounding beats and the echoing in places. It's only short which is just right for the track, if it had been longer it wouldn't have worked. |

woofer - yeah, kesson dalef is awesome. love it, and mt saint michel, too. my other favourites are gwarek2, most of the piano, prepared piano tracks... but also the shorter tracks like voice-tracks, bit4 and orban. of course everyone has her/his personal selection of drukqs, but that was exactly aphex' idea about it - to make your own album out of the 30 tracks. :^? |
