you can say whatever you want, but it's quite obvious that the guy is just into the idea of "being sick" and "controversial". in a weird sort of way, it's actually quite show-offy, which is an imediate turn off. i don't see the guy as being any different from marilyn manson, just a half-assed musician who couldn't make it on his own merits, so he has to have a schtick to make him more appealing to the "edgy" crowd. |

people have their own perception of musical merit, i encourage people to listen to whatever they enjoy.. i hate catching myself putting down anyone's taste in music (which i think is very rare and accidental when i do it) because they're just as entitled to it as anyone else. that said i still love criticizing music so long as it's clear that i'm still enjoying it in my own way and that i'm just giving my impressions of it. |

i just honestly believe there is good and bad taste. and then there's good-bad taste (ask john waters, he'll tell ya'). it has nothing to do with talent or whether or not people like it, it is invalid because it is in EXTREMELY poor taste. this is something HE himself has done, pretty much just to start conversations like this. if he didn't use the crap gimmick he has, none of us would even know who aaron funk is. no doubt he thinks he's doing something totally mind-blowing and "sick". i disagree, and i will always disagree. he's nothin but a second-rate cex imitation. |
