More on the door

Boom Bip and band, highly esteemed rapper Buck 65 and Sage
Francis make a
killer line up for a live show at the Scala on Sunday
October 5th.

Sound collage scientist extraordinaire Boom Bip and his live
band mix
soaring strings and hip-hop scratches from the critically
acclaimed album
'Seed to Sun' plus he debuts exciting new material,
including his recent
Super Furry Animals, Boards of Canada and Mogwai remixes.

Using a wide range of emotional effects, Boom Bip creates a
soundtrack that
has as much to do with the dream sequences of Boards Of
Canada as with the
down-to-Earth darkness of Massive Attack. '"Abstract hip-hop
masterclass...
the focused intensity of techno nut Bogdan Raczynski and the
ethereal
weightlessness of Richard D James' early ambient works, Boom
Bip fluctuates
between weird, the clever and the downright beautiful" NME

After his recent sell out Uk tour turntablist and poet from
Canada, Buck 65
provides his unique razor sharp wit and cutting lyrical
jousts from
forthcoming album 'Talkin' Honky Blues' (out September 8th
on WEA) He plays
a solo live set which sees him mix deck trickery with vocal
twists and
stories that may well populate Tom Waits' world...

Sage Francis, the sharpest live hip hop mc in the world bar
none (winner of
too many major US mc battles) and a toughened intellect
