Vordhosbn is probably...

...the best track in the world.
The build up from 00:51 is great and 01:13-01:59 is pure
joy! It makes me shiver right in back and my arms, then all
over. Not many songs/tracks do that to me.

I love songs/tracks that make me feel like this. Music is a
powerful thing.

Yeah, it's a shame the track gets boring after that part...

Is there a track/song that makes you shiver?

Another one is a track from wipeout on the PS, by the in
house team CoLDSToRaGE

I don't know... Right now, I'd say The Warming Sun by
Grandaddy.

The live version of Impact by Orbital on the Satan singles
gives me that tingly feeling, particularly when the track
changes around halfway through.

The first Wipeout had some excellent original music.. a
track called 'Messij' comes to mind.. wish I had that game
right now :(.

several Boards of canada songs give me chills. Tangerine
Dream too.

best. Then ofcourse PETROL

Great drum programming and HAB-ish synths. One of the most
cheekily evil pieces of music ever.

Vordhosbn is definitely one of the best tracks afx hass ever
done... and it is easily the best drill track on Drukqs (not
that the others aren't fantastic)... though it is not as
adventuresome as some of the others, it is much more tight
and coherent... and yes it sends chills down my spine at
around the exact same spot... and it is the only song that
has ever made me puke...

Yeah, Vordhosbn slows down near the end, the first couple of
minutes are mega intense though. Orgiastic.

The drum programming is fantastic.

I like listening to it slowed down 32%, sounds like a dark,
electronic hip hop instrumental.

ZIGGOMATIC v17!!!
Gorgeousness and Gorgiosity rolled into one.
Vordhosbn got me hooked at first but it just doesn't go
anywhere, like squarepusher's Astronm Feck 4, although that
song is amazing too

vordhosbn will always be special, don't you people remember
the first time you popped in drukqs? it followed jynweythek
so well, orgasmic indeed

it does get old though.

imo lasting faves would be st michael, meltphacc and
petiatil (that melody just does something amazing to me)

yes, i think it's the classic example of a great start of a
song, leaving it, and then months later thinking, o yes i
still have to finish it and then kinda screw it up, i
usually listen to it up to 3:29 and then go to
mntsntmichel+stmichalmnt. (yes i have the exact timeframe in
my head)

offline big from lsg on 2003-09-27 05:36 [#00880442]

but i still think it's better than
thanmntsntmichel+stmichalmnt, more original

I don't even care about ranking them anymore, suffice to say
there are at least 10 sickeningly good tracks on drukQs. At
the moment though, I can't imagine a better track than
Alberto Balsalm.

Yeah, __vordhosbn__ is more remembered because it was track
2, right after a simple, piano track. It was like "hmm
piano track by AFX... then OMGWTF IS THIS CRAZY SHIT
THING!!!111~"

It either made you love the album or hate the album, after
that it was exctasy or pain for 100 more minutes.
