warp's a good label - but i think some people will agree with me that not all of the music they have released has been spectacular, but that's how it is with nearly all record labels. |

I've not been too into much that warp have put out lately - I'm actually quite impressed with !!! though - Had a chance to hear them round a friend's house the other day - Quite an interesting signing afterall I thought... It's tough cos Warp was the first label I ever got into - Back in the Artificial Intelligence days - And back then they couldn't put a foot wrong - I bought everything they released for a good few years and still listen to those records all the time. They used to be a shining ray of light/hope for all bedroom producers - Now it seems they're really only interested in established artists and not willing to take risks so much... Albeit with the exeption of Chris Clark I guess. They should do more interesting compilations, bring back the Artificial Intelligence series and try out lots of new and interesting talent - Get back to the top of the electronic scene - That's what they're really meant to be - Not just another interesting alternative label. |

I think warp have released some nice stuff this year but from 90-97 alot of the releases were amazing. I agree more risk taking is needed! |
