Best Aphex drill 'n bass???

PhalanxGod from Heaven & Hell on 2001-11-13 10:25 [#00051402]

Can you name some of his very best drill 'n bass songs?
Preferably some of his unfamiliar tracks. Nothing from
drukqs. Thnx.

oki from grmny on 2001-11-13 10:35 [#00051405]

sorry, i´m at work now, so i can´t really check back
names, but "4" is definitely one of ´em ... the new rmxs
were also very great me thinks, but i dunno if that´s
exactly what you would call drill´n´bass ...

Thanx Fernz, but as I said I know all the tracks from
drukqs, so I hope you know some other great Aphex drill 'n
bass as well.

Fernz on 2001-11-13 11:50 [#00051433]

Oh yeah, sorry. :) Um, Id say Peek 824545201 or any of the
Hangable Autobulbs.

Fernz on 2001-11-13 11:52 [#00051434]

I was too mashed to remember that drukqs was out of the
question.

Like everyone else said... Both 'Hangable Autobulb' LPs...
EXCELLENT drill 'n' bass.

Bogus on 2001-11-13 22:38 [#00051657]

i'd say that his best drilln'n' bass tunes are the ones on
the drukqs album... the older ones pale in comparission with
this ones

yo bogus: although I very much like the fast tracks on
drukqs - hangable autobulbs 1 + 2 I feel are still fresh in
comparison / and perhaps more stereotypically drill'n'bass
opposed to something like fruity/complex drum'n'bass. i
don't really think they have dated at all - aged well,
rather like a fine wine.

Bogus on 2001-11-16 06:21 [#00052636]

i feel like HAB stuff is still in experimental stage...
while stuff released as aphex twin, are more refined, and
transmit a more clear idea of what RDJ was trying to do in
the first place.

jedy from ireland on 2001-11-16 11:05 [#00052686]

what are you talking about HAB 1&2 are fucking great is
actually more experimental than rdj album
everyday, child talk and hab it self makes hab one of the
best stuff he ever did
