I myself am really bad at finishing a track. I start, love it, work on it a lot, get bored and eventually leave it a minute done. How the hell do these IDM artists have enough time to to produce during their schedule and make genious music. and whats the process like with you guys?

I have no real process i just do stuff when i feel like it and if it's worth finishing i'll finish it.

I don't think there are any real tricks for finishing a track, just do as much as you feel like it you can't rush it.

yeah uh I write every thing left to right, start to finish. i just like making tracks with lots of different sections. I hate making stuff that gets TOO repetitive...
And yeah I get stuck a lot too. Sometimes it's just a matter of finishing the track where it is and uploading it or whatever. There's no shame in aking short tracks. I like short 1 min clips better than 7 min long boring ass tracks any day

Some of the tracks I like best(by me), i created in one go. i remember the feeling when like "oh my god, this is so totally awesome, now i HAVE to have a part kind of like in vletrmx21, and then after that a part where everything goes haywire".
Then after I had worked for a few hours, the track was done, and I could start mixing and fine polishing it. Although sometimes I do come back to short loops i made 6 months ago, and they turn it good.

heh, just make alot of stuff all the time, even if it's crap. some good parts always come out.

most of my best stuff is usually done from start to finish in only a few sittings. there is no process that one can teach you it's really up to the user to find their own way of doing things and make their own process. my means are my own. but what works for you wouldn't work for me.
