Nice! Hope he can make an impression on the people of the US
before the coming presidential election, so those christian
fascists wont reign for another 4 years!

take Michael Moore with a grain of salt though
he makes entertainment first, and documentaries second

he might be a truth bending whore, but his principals are
spot on, and if he needs to manipulate the american public
in such a manner then so be it, cos that country is fucked
up atm.

you mean like the US Government manipulated the facts about

The problem is, a liberal will get taken apart in the media
for small errors or distortions, but they'll continue to
lick and suck Ann Coulter's toes despite the huge swaths of
pure fiction in her work.

So it's important to do some fact checking in addition to
having your heart in the right place!

amazing isn't it?

but the thing about moore's book is he isn't so much as
"manipulating the truth" as he's writing a political humor
book that is completely non-fiction. it doesn't mean that
the facts are wrong or manipulated, he just doesn't give all
the details. he leaves that up to the reader to investigate
for himself, perhaps using the footnotes.

So, anyone read this? Is it as good as his other stuff?

(It's not for me- it's a potential birthday present for my
brother :-)

It`s excellent. Quite scary stuff. The Bush/Bin Laden family
ties are for want of a better term "fucked up"

dad bought me Dude! where's my country?

Haven't read it yet. I hate Michael Moore, but he brings up
interesting points, I might as well be well versed on all
side of the things he debates.

"aparently not for the weak minded mtv generation despite
the
title. "

That's partly the point.

Also, there is supposed to be a new movie coming out?

Yes- Tis' a Double Entendre

There is supposed to be some scathing movie that will come
out before the election- hopefully it will meet with a more
positive reception than his Academy speech- if this country
becomes any more patriotic the Republicans will bankrupt us
faster than Enron.

michael moore is overrated.

True, but he's heard!

2 great moovies and a couple of shitty, but
thought-provoking books.

Roger and Me is a funking awesome movie and socially astute
commentary applicable to the plight of the modern working
man in America today.

-god i feel gay right about now-

perhaps it's easier for americans to belive him, but from my
point of view half of what he says is just silly...it's
either he's full of shit or US is one crazy
country...personally i think it's little bit of both.
anyway, imo moore tells (and belives) just as many lies as
gw bush does...they're both blind for other people opinions.
well i guess bush is a bit extremer.
