This is the coolest thing I've bought in a long time. It has 20GB capacity. I've been spending the last 24 hours moving my collection over. So far I've got about 175 LPs (1,825 tracks) and I'm taking up about 8.4GB. It's equiped with a USB 2.0 connection and has built in rechargable NiMH batteries with about a 12 hour life. Here's the best part. It has digital in/line in/mic in for real time mp3 recording. I can start doing field recording of environmental sounds to use in my music production, I could bootleg good local shows either with the stereo mic I'm about to go buy or straight out of the board into the line or digital in. And just in case I am caught off guard, It has a built in stereo microphone (not the best quality, but good for voice recording). It's called the Archos Jukebox Recorder 20 and it was reasonably priced for what it does. After all the research I did, this is the only mp3 recorder I could find with this kind of massive storage space. Please use this thread to talk about how awesome I am for having one of these. |

I just heard that they tend to crap out more than say an ipod. I also heard the customer support is a little lacking. Just what I heard though, as long as you're happy with your puchase and all. |

I heard the same thing, and that the real time compression for recording is seriously buggy after a certain point. But then again I have bought stuff in the past that has had average reviews and they have turned out to be excellent purchases. |
