Yeah, there are VERY few really good VU/Lou Reed sites
around, too bad... there's no super-comprehensive site that
covers everything. Gotta use all the ones in the
Google Directory I guess, collectively they've got everything.

Only VU site I have in my bookmarks is this one.

That's a pretty nice site, but those ''official sites''
never had enough content in them.

loureed.org is morre interrested in just his latest
rrelease, it's nice and suave but slim on content.

I like your avatar, right up my street.

I'm not really bothered about Lou Reed though. He's one of
those artists I can respect, rather than enjoy.

Thing with Lou Reed is you can buy one of his albums and to
being with it sounds moderrate, some sound a bit shoddy, but
then afterr a few days of playing them they rreally rreveal
themselves forr what they arre >>> FUCKING QUALITY SONGS

I mostly prefer the VU stuff, but "Perfect Day" is
fantastic. I nearly wept when those idiots covered it for
comic relief a few years back...

I guess Transformer is my favorite, followed by The Blue
Mask, that one's underrated... and I like Sally Can't Dance,
even though it's fairly... well, lame and not very Lou
Reed-ish at all. But lame can be cool, it's hip to be
square.

Transformer is def. my favourite. It's an obvious choice,
but 'walk on the wild side' has always been one of my
favourite LR tracks. The combination of that double bass
and his sultry tones does it for me! He is one cool cat.
Infact, I'm going to listen to the album now.
Cheers Anus, I haven't listened to it for months!

What's it like? What does ''It Wasn't Me'' sound like? I
don't like it when he goes overboard on the avant-garde.

Yeah, that "back in the hometown" feeling is shit. Even when
i was younger coming back on the train from the year's
traditional holiday in wales, i always used to see the
massive chemical factories in runcorn, let out a big sigh
and inwardly think "bollocks."

the re-mix could have been worse, its pretty generic
though... as is most dance music.

I'd love someone actually talented to make a re-mix of one
of Lou's tracks, one of the best re-mixes i've ever heard is
the Heroes re-mix by Aphex Twin.
