ok, so who else thinks this song is way too long... I'm
sick of it after like 3 or 4 minutes, and it's 8 or
something... I hate songs like that!

2 minutes shorter.

it just depends really... for instance, Stud I love... and
it's basically the same thing repeated for 10 minutes or
so... but Rotar just gets on my nerves!

overand is another one I don't like in that respect

i think its too short. they shouldve based a whole album
around that 1 track.

Nah overand is my favorite by a long shot!

It's really creepy and i love it loads because it has such a
dank atmosphere to it, one of the best autechre tracks imo.

hmm, i think the track lengths are fine. im not into tri too
much but overall i think the lengths are good. a few songs i
guess i could say are drawn out kinda long but nothing that
substantial to care really.

rotar's quite nice.

good to see that someone likes it, =)

doesn't hit my spot though

There's quite a few songs on Tri Repetae that I just find
long and BORING rather than hypnotizing... tracks that don't
go anywhere or develop interestingly.

Clipper, Dael and Eutow are awesome though, and Rsdio is
nice and eerie.

Eutow followed by C/Pach is probably one of AE's best
moments ever, imo. Same with Piezo followed by Nine.

I wouldn't change anything about any ae track, just as I
would not change the design of our natural world.

I'd give humans a 1000 year lifespan and have them reproduce
by laying eggs.

Don't like tri that much. Clipper, leterel and eutow are the
best imo.

I dig rotar. It's like being in a 3-d Qix game (remember
that arcade oldie?). Only the cursor is drawing intricate,
spiralling patterns while trying to stay alive...

We really can't compare TriRepetae++ to future releases of
AE. Until Chiastic Slide, Autechre doesn't really "change"
their layers of sound that much. The beat stays the beat.
It's often steadily shifted throughout the piece, but drum
tracks stay pretty consistant.

I mean, they didn't start experiencing with changes in their
beat almost each 4/4 time step until Envane. Each click is
almost always changed, each time it comes back one way or
another. A touch more echo, reverb, one note higher or
lower, it never stops being different *with* Chiastic Slide
and especially LP5.

So is it repetitive? Yes. That was the way Autechre did it
back then. Amber, Incunabula, TR++. We must accept it :)

I mean, if somebody talks about being repetive, they should
target RICHARD and his whole 8-minute of the same friggin
thing that is found all throughout his early releases ;) ;(

actually, i do hear subtle differences in the beat in such
songs as Dael, Leterel, Rotar, and
others.................maybe it's just so damn hi-fi, some
people can't hear it unless w/ big ass headphones
on........
but i agree.....major beat changes don't really occur till
Envane/Cichlisuite/Chiastic Slide.

by the way. Rotar is perfect the way it is, as with every ae
song, or they wouldnt have put it out, duh.

Well I have Grado Labs headphones on a portable amp, so I
guess that's pretty hi-fi ;)

It's just not a major part of the music, compared to the
repetiveness which is on purpose I would say.
