Well I certainly wouldn't consider spending £3,000+ on
Waves plug-ins! It's extortionate. For that money I could
buy an amazing piece of outboard - Let alone the
depreciation issues.
I did buy Renoise legit 'cos they're such a nice bunch of
ppl behind it and it's truely worth every penny of the
asking price.
I regret buying Logic legit - emagic are a horrible
corporation from experiences friends have had - Rarely use
Logic these days anyway.

I sold my analog synths because they were basiclly there for
one purpose. SHOWING OFF.
When I applied them to song it usally was shit.
My style is so off the deep end that I really need to
sequence parts first.
There is no way Im playing a 180BPM bassline with my fingers
lol.

Anolog synths are cool for jamming with buddies but for the
most part are just cock size when it comes to usefulness.

Thats just my strong opinion though : |
An MS2000 can run circles around any vintage synth in my
humble opinion.

I had a korg ms-20 for a while, it was really cool but soon
lost its novelty.

I bought my moog for 50$ cause I told them "It sucks because
it has no speakers!". They totally bought my story!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA suckers.

Shops here have nothing at all .

wow I'm suprised you think that! I find analog synths take a
lot more work - like you need months with a Juno or a Pro
One to really get anything really useful out of it - But I'd
rate my analog synths as the most important things I own by
a long way..
I've had a Nord Lead, Prophecy and Nova in the past, and I
really haven't found much use for them - I guess it depends
on what music you're writing though.
It took me literally about 3 years to realise how useful the
Juno was and now it gets used on everything - I had an MS20
for a while but that synth takes some serious work and is
really best if you've got the Korg analog sequencer too -
trk3 on ICBYD was done on an MS20 (the mad noise loop) -
They've got so much mix presense you only need to add a
simple string part and you've got a finished track - That's
what I love about analogue!

Next on my list of buys are:

AKAI Z8 sampler (to go with the S5000 i already have)

Korg MS20 (proper old analogue)

Need to get some more outboard fx, seen a nice lexicon unit
fairly cheaply.

And possibly?? wavestation? and/or sh101?

And also I do electronic stuff myself. At the moment I'm
designing an additive synth, similar( in operating theory to
a hammond). I also make fx, like distortion and things. In
about a years time, if I have the time, I will have a rack
full of my own home made gear! And this isnt hype like the
afx gear, but real stuff:) Perhaps if any units are good I
will build a few and sell them...I may even let some lucky
xltronic person win one. But more than likely I wont have
time or be in the pub instead of soldering:)

Home made pedals are awesome. My buddy is an aviation
electrician, he is the Shinobi of pedals for sure.
We just print out the schimatics of stuff we want and he
will build it for us : )

I'll stick to cicuit bending for now though, it looks
fucking hard making stuff from scratch lol

Hey, do you know where I can find schematics for circuit
bending/modifying my TR-505? I know, kinda takes out the
point of CB, but I just want to glitch it up, not destroy
it.

My friend played me something he did on one of these cheap
old Yamaha PSR keyboards and a shitty old 4-track tape
machine... One of the best things I've heard in years!
Actually blew me away!! I'm gonna blag him to do me a copy
of his tunes tonight hopefully!
There's a lot to be said for working with minimal equipment
that's for sure - Especially just a keyboard and tape
machine - There's just nothing getting in the way of your
ideas... Oddly the overloaded tape sound took the "home
keyboard" sound totally away from the PSR keyboard.

I'd love an SH101 - Already got an MC202 so can't really
justify it - But the 202's a little too fiddly for my
liking.
Sequencer is too in depth and not spontaneous enough.

The 202 sequencer is a pain in the ass :) I had to call
Roland Scandinavia and order a manual. The 101 and 202 are
identical soundwise, except the 101 has a noise source. I
don't use mine that much anymore after I got a CV-MIDI box
for my SH-5.

I've always wanted an SH5! A friend of mine down the road
bought one recently - It is an absolutely insane machine!
Love the styling and feel of it too.
Do you know how straight forward the SH101 sequencer is? I
loved programming the 303 so much - It was my baby :`(

I saw Eat Static's (Ozric Tentacles) SH-5 in Future Music
and I thought I gotta have one! A year later I found a
dealer here in town. It's so old now, but mine is in
excellent condition. The whole idea of how synthesizers
should be was so different back in the 70's. This one's
built into a carry case. You remove half of the case and the
other half is stuck around the back of the synth.

I've never used the 101 sequencer. I think it's more
straight forward than the 202. It doesn't have a display so
I hope it is, not that the 202 display is a life saver :)
