Just a regular chat with you guys.

So anything new happening in your life lately? please tell
:)

I'm soon moving back to Denmark, so my life is pretty messed
up at the moment.

Give me some conversation.

hehe... yes, I love coffee... so of course I will be going
to coffee shops!! ;)

I'm working with an oil company... just doing some research
for them I believe... nothing huge, cause we're just
students, but the experience should be awesome!

I lost my job recently.

I've been making new music, which has been a very slow
process.

...and I'm bored with almost every other aspect of my life,
but I am not depressed.

My car is acting funny, too.

i totally hate being pushed into something...that never
works out fine, with all expecting you to do something
at least thats the case with me...i have to decide on my own
and if i do decide i'll surely finish whatever i start
no worth being upset about people's expectations imo

experience when you really hate the place

Yeah I have been doing some music too, and it went with a
good pace, but then i suddenly got writersblock again. I'm
working on some BoC-like tracks at the moment.

Good thing I don't have a licence and the trouble with cars
:P

with the websites, I can't do any websites for myself when i

It was weird, they just had to "let me go", but I wasn't
fired. Whatever. Jobs are all the same to me -- boring and a
means to an end.

When I was younger, I used to work in a grocery store. I
quit there and went out in a blaze of glory. It was a good
day.

And yeah, vehicles are a pain.

Do you have music up anywhere?

My friend Hilary and I will be playing a pretty huge variety
of music (not all electronic by any means). Our theme for
this show is "music to kill the mood," like the least sexy
music possible. It should be a good time.

I'm not sure on the time change, it's 11:47 am here now, so
the show will start in 10 hours and 15 minutes, if that
helps. Hah.

I'm bored at my job, which is why I surf this mb all day.
when I go home, I've been addicted to Soulseek lately,
trying to find new bands or live stuff. Usually I play
computer games, but I'm trying to get into more of a musical
mode. I want to start writing more music, but it's
discouraging because I don't have enough equipment or anyone
to jam with :( I'll work that out though.
Besides that, there are about a million concerts coming up
until the new year, both in my shitty town and in Orlando.
Life is fine.

see this on the bright side...I am sitting home desperately
seeking some girls to feel appreciated by on different
dating-services...how pathetic is that? ...

and don't worry about the musicmaking man :) as long as you
have it in your heart, it will eventually turn into a shape
and you'll react on it. You'll figure it out ;)

I've just got back from Amsterdam, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Had a great time but a bit low on funds now.

Currently my network is giving me grief and I still can't
get online very often hence my decreased presence here and
delay replying to emails.

I've just fixed my car up, four new tyres and a headlight
which I fitted myself.

I am still swimming regularly and currently making/listening
to a lot of drum and bass.

Getting ready to return to university in a couple of weeks
time for my final year. Should be interesting...

I'm looking forwards to the Warp Halloween rave and also the
Cyclobotnia promotional tour. I'm currently saving up for an
MC-303, primarily for use when I'm DJing.

There are no real albums I'm looking forward to at the
moment, except BoC's next full length album and I still need
to pick up P73's One Word Extinguisher.

My friends are all getting along nicely and they seem to be
growing up a bit, despite still showing a horrendous lack of
logic in certain situations.

My family are fine too, but I don't see my brother and his
gf as often as I'd like to.

Generally, aside from not having cash to buy as much music
related stuff as I'd like, lifeis peachy. I have no real
problems at the moment and am very happy.

Are you looking forwards to going back to Denmark?

sounds good man :)

yeah i'm looking forward to it, exept that i have no asured
place to live.

I quit my job because of an upcoming depression i wanted to
avoid, so too much stress makes Steven unhappy.

Btw, Map just got his hands on a shitload of BoC-demos from
the net
The picture below is from som BoC-tape...don't know who
wrote the text on it though, and if it's authentic

Yeah, I have the female thing worked out, been with her for
8 years :) or is it :(? Depends on the day I guess.

I have a couple of guitars and a bass and a synth and a
couple of drum machines, but only 1 amp. It sounds like a
lot of stuff, but the thing is I can't work out the
recording process, so it's really hard to write. I will
sort it out though, and my friend Esther sings and has a
French Horn, so I might work on something with her. I
really want to record stuff. Not really electronic, but
guitar stuff with fat bass from the synth with some pads
thrown in for good measure, and hopefully I can find a drum
sound I'm happy with.

see that's the easy thing about electronic-music...you kinda
have it "in your palm" ...no need to fiddle around with
cords and mixers...
;)

but hey man, sounds like you got it all figured out...you
just it to click ;)

i recently came into some money so i am buying some new gear
for the studio, i got things sounding real pretty. i got
some equipment that should make my live shows more
interesting too. i just found out my next show in oct fell
through and i don't get to play now. :( that stinks cause i
was just interviewed for a local thing and they are
publishing the date i was supposed to play. ohwell. i guess
now i'll have more time to work on tracks instead of playing
with shit to make it work live.

i also just got a really nice piece of art for the dining
room and a 20gb mp3 player/recorder(!) i can record/encode
to mp3 in real time. that rocks. other than that not much
else is going on with me... things are going fine with my
gorlfriend and i who have been living together for over 3
months now. work is boring, same ol stuff. i just got a
soundcard for my laptop as i was typing this.. thats cool.
estella just brought me the lunch i ordered. mmm lunch time.
ive been vegetarian one year as of today..

thats all for now

Cheers, I've not heard that!

I've been doing a lot of reading lately, mainly just
entertaining novels with no deep meaning, Steven King, Irvin
Welsh etc. the literary equivalent of watching an action
film, just nice mindless entertainment.

How's your music coming along, got anything new?

I like saturday. The synth sounds a bit out of time, is it
not quantised/played live? The slow pace of the track makes
me think it ought to be called "Sunday" instead :) The
percussion is used well- kept fairly minimal and the
clapping fits in nicely. Is it your voice that says "one"
near the end?

"Goodbye Junktion" is a bit more downtempo than I expected.
It's quite strange the way the pipe sounding synth floats
"above" the other elements of the music- I could only focus
on one part at a time, not the whole thing. That's not a
criticism, just a strange effect it had :)

naah...it doesn't say "one" ...it says "fun" ...but hey i
sampled it sooo ;)
An no, it's not played live, but I like it like this ;)

in the other speaker there's sometimes a voice saying "work"
too...

it's all demo's so any listening is appreciated :)
