I like how einsturzende neubauten had webcast of them making their new album.
Imagine if say someone like Squarepusher did that ? It would be soooo fucking boring

Lust Incarnate > lyrics 1980-1990, lyrics 1991-2002. there is no english translation though (just italian translations... and some interesting notes about the songs, but in italian only unfortunately)

'Sand' is a cover by Lee Hazelwood, actually... here are the lyrics to it:
"Young woman share your fire with me. My heart is cold, my soul is free. I am a stranger in your land. A wandering man, call me sand.
Oh sir my fire is very small. It will not warm thy heart at all. But thee may take me by the hand. Hold me and I'll call thee sand
Young woman share your fire with me. My heart is cold, my soul is free. I am a stranger in your land. A wandering man, call me sand.
At night when stars light up the sky. Oh sir I dream my fire is high. Oh taste these lips sir if you can. Wandering man, I call thee sand.
Oh sir my fire is burning high. If it should stop sir I would die. A shooting star has crossed my land. Wandering man.
She whispered sand.
Young woman shared her fire with me. Now warms herself with memory. I was a stranger in her land. A wandering man, she called me sand.
He was a stranger in my land. A wandering man.
She called me sand."
i like the song but the lyrics are pretty dumb (it often happens in cover songs...) i think.

i prefer 'real' Einstürzende Neubauten lyrics - especially the ones in Zeichnungen Des Patienten O.T., they have a weird imagery...
like 'Neun Arme':
"Actually i had nine arms desiccated in the sunshine actually were legs like tentacles stunted in the daylight actually i want to go out into the night want my tendrils back back!"
or, better, the lyrics to 'DNS Wasserturm'... they are the transcription of a dream the singer had (weird, like pretty much all dreams are)... i won't type them here because they're pretty long...

qrter > supporting "phase I" is over (so your chances of getting Supporter Album #1 are over... but a public album with 30% of the songs in it, plus 70% new material, will be released in february), but they're doing it again ("phase II").
i personally enjoyed the experience, it was like an Einstürzende Neubauten community and i like the CD very much but some people has been disappointed by the CD (not because of the music, but the production fucked up for some people - they're trying to fix it now by repressing and resending a new copy... also the packaging divided the people, some loved it and some hated it)...
...i suggest you read the comments of the people who were part of "phase I" on the forum of the official site, the message of Blixa etc. : )

strange thing is, I had understood EN had split up.
I don't care that much about the cd (although it's a nice idea and gesture) - I think they're a great group.

they didn't split up, but two members left some years ago from what i've read somewhere... Marc Chung and F.M. Einheit... (don't know what their roles were in the band before).
what do you have by them?
