the resurrection
the resurrection happened one early morning, in a corn-field somewhere nearby. there were clouds in the sky, and a bare breath hovered above the harvest. an old man crawled by, his back curled & bones diminished. not far from him a small boy played among the wheat - he died without a murmur when the field coughed into life, ripping his fragile body into shreds. the old man, seized with new vigour, fell upon the tattered shards of young flesh, gorging and snorting. the corn-field killed him too, with slender tendrils piercing his intestines. the undigested final feast fell upwards & outwards in a beautiful display. i myself wallowed at length in this bath of mud, blood and raw meat, before being enveloped also. i am the vegetation and you shall dine on the divine that i have become. i shall be within you when you die.
